Bedding the BaronWelcome to my web site!  Make yourself comfortable, put up your feet and enjoy browsing around.  You’ll find things are pretty relaxed around here.  Being from the Midwest, (next door to Mark Twain’s boyhood stomping ground) I like things to be casual.  I also love to make new friends so make sure you stop by and sign my guestbook.

Seduce Me By Christmas

October 2009

Raoul Charlebois is nothing if not notorious. he's abandoned his wild life to search out answers to his dark past, but that doesn't stop his reputation as a rake from following him wherever he goes. In this case, it follows him to the door of a gamekeeper's cottage, where beautiful, optimistic, innocent Sarah Jefferson resides. In all his exploits, he's never met a woman like her...and that makes her all the tempting...

At first, Sarah will have no part in whatever the devastatingly handsome visitor wants at the estate...until she realizes what he wants is her. For as the snow falls down around them, she finds that the intoxicating scent of evergreen boughs can prove incredibly seductive. And maybe there is some glimmer of good in Raoul hiding deep within. After all, Christmas has a way of bringing lost souls together...

Praise for Deborah Raleigh and her novels:

"Entertaining and passionate...this engrossing tale will keep readers amused." Publishers Weekly

Seducing the Viscount

March 2009
Zebra Historical
ISBN 978-0-8217-8044-2

Illegitimacy is no obstacle for Ian Breckford.  Darkly handsome and thoroughly charming, he has been bedding his way through London's most exclusive society.  Yet this pleasurable existence has lately seemed a trifle dull...a fact soon remedied by a visit to his father's estate, where his aunt has acquired a delightful new companion.  Mercy Simpson may be shy, but she is also sharp-witted and stubborn, especially when persuading Ian to relieve her of her innocence...

Ian's arrival presents the opportunity for Mercy to experience inhibited sensual adventure before she returns to her spinster life.  Ian's extraordinary skill is everything she dreamed a lover might offer...and everything she can hope to keep...unless her brazen seduction can ignite a true, lasting passion...

The plot of book two of Raleigh's trilogy about illegitimate bachelors looking into the mysteries of their past is an old one, but Raleigh gives it new life with accuracy, originality and passion. Readers will enjoy this delicious and sensual tale.

Summary: Ian Breckford is happy with his title of Casanova among London's ton -- it's better than bastard. With the death of his tutor, Ian decides to seek the answers to his past. He arrives at his father's estate, only to fall under the spell of a captivating innocent. Though Ian has bedded the most skilled courtesans, he is unmanned by a vicar's virgin daughter. Mercy Simpson knows a rake when she meets one, but she willingly allows Ian to lead her into exquisite temptation. (ZEBRA, Mar., 352 pp., $6.99) HOT

For those who are new to my books I think I should offer a brief explanation.  For the past five years I have written traditional regencies under the name of Debbie Raleigh.  My backlist includes 30 novels and anthologies.  For those interested they can be ordered from any bookstore or online.  Beginning in September 2005 I will begin a historical trilogy under the name Deborah Raleigh.  They are set in the regency era, but are a bit spicier than my other books.  The stories will include:  SOME LIKE IT WICKED, SOME LIKE IT SINFUL and SOME LIKE IT BRAZEN.  In the more distant future I will begin a contemporary vampire series.  I’ll keep the site updated as I have more information.
